| Q: | Are the deadlines for registration and submission similar? |
| A: | No. Deadlines for Workshop Registration will be one week before workshop date but deadline for Submission will be at 31 August 2009. |

| A: | Yes, the Content should have commercial potential. It should not only be for research purposes |
| Q: | Is there a maximum word limit for the Mobile Content Challenge proposal submission? |
| A: | There is no word limit for the actual proposal. Teams are advised to submit proposals that clearly describe the Concept and Content with relevant and convincing explanations. However, the Concept Brief in the Submissions Summary should not exceed 200 words. It should be submitted together with the proposal. |
| Q: | Can First and Second Year students participate in this Challenge? Or is it open to Final year students only? |
| A: | The Challenge is open to ALL students as long as they are registered (have a valid student card) with a university for the academic year 2009/2010 and fulfil all other terms and conditions as per the Rules and Regulations. |
| Q: | Can students enrolled in postgraduate programmes, such as Master's programmes, take part in the Challenge? |
| A: | Yes, as long as they are enrolled as students for the academic year 2009/2010 and fulfil all other terms and conditions as per the Rules and Regulations. |
| Q: | Will any subsidy be provided for the IHL or the team? |
| A: | No subsidy will be provided for any IHL or team. |
| Q: | Will the Content still belong to the team if they win? |
| A: | Yes, the Intellectual Property (IP) of the Content will always belong to the team. |
| Q: | Is participation in the Challenge restricted to any particular faculty of the IHL? |
| A: | Students from any faculties are allowed to join the Challenge as long as they are enrolled for the year of 2009/2010. |
| Q: | Can an IHL be represented by more than one team and adviser? |
| A: | Yes, all IHLs are permitted to have many advisers and participating teams. A lecturer may act as an adviser to more than one team; however, a participant can only join one team. |
| Q: | Who will be the owner of the Intellectual Property (IP) of the Content? |
| A: | The IP will continue to belong to the team even after the completion of the Challenge. |
| Q: | May students in their final year or those who are waiting for their convocation join the Challenge? |
| A: | Yes, as long as they are enrolled as students for the year of 2009 and fulfil all other terms and conditions as per the Rules and Regulations. |
| Q: | Who will be the judges of the Challenge? |
| A: | The panel of judges will be selected by the organisers from the Industry as well as other selected members of the Organising Committee. |
| Q: | What if the Content developed is similar to the ones already in the market? |
| A: | Teams are encouraged to use their creativity and innovation to develop Content that does not infringe on the Intellectual Property (IP) of any other content already in the market to improve their chances of winning. |
| Q: | Is this the first time the Challenge is being organized? |
| A: | Yes, this Challenge is being held for the first time nationwide. However, Maxis had organised a similar contest last year, on a commercial basis, at the Multimedia University and offered cash prizes worth RM10,000 to winners. |
| Q: | Is there a plan for this Challenge to be held annually? |
| A: | The details are being worked out by the sponsors. It all depends on the success of this year's event. So come and participate! |
| Q: | Are teams allowed to submit proposals that had been submitted in previous competitions? |
| A: | Yes, as long as the Intellectual Property (IP) belong to the submitting teams and do not infringe the Intellectual Property rights of anyone. |

| A: | There is no limit to the number of pages for the proposal. However, teams are advised to keep their proposal simple and concise. |
| Q: | Why is this Challenge targeted only at students? |
| A: | This challenge is specifically aimed at IHL students to invite fresher, younger and more creative ideas from the younger generation. |
| Q: | What does MDP stands for? |
| A: | The Maxis Developer Programme, or MDP in short, is Maxis' strategic initiative to help spur the development of a complete ecosystem of Malaysian mobility content and applications developers. It was launched in 2003 an to date have about 100 registered participants. The MDP provides skills and knowledge enhancement, business and tecnical guidance, as well as market access support to Malaysian companies and individuals that focuses on creating ventures in the mobility application space. Some of the successful developers to date have already commercialized their applications either with Maxis, other operators and enterprises, locally, as well as regionally such as India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Maldives, and United Kingdom.
