MCC Submission Process

The Challenge is divided into THREE (3) phases.

Phase 1 – Submission of Concept

  1. Entries must be submitted online at Mobile Content Challenge's website.
  2. Entries must be submitted by including but not limited to the following:
    1. Project Title
    2. Objective
    3. Description of the Content to be developed
    4. High level design & technical description, including:
      1. Technologies Used
      2. Schematic diagram
      3. Functional Flow
    5. The Innovation (The uniqueness/ originality of idea)
    6. Who will benefit from your content? (i.e., target market)
    7. Explain why you think consumers would want this content
  3. Submissions must be sent to Secretariat and received on or before 6:00pm, Aug 31, 2009 in either a .PDF or Word Document.
  4. Maximum size for the submission document is 2MB.
  5. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any incomplete or corrupted submissions.
  6. Supporting documents may be included by including hyperlinks to external references in the submission documents.
  7. All submissions must be in English.
  8. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges.
  9. Short listed teams (Finalists) will be eligible to continue to Phase 2.
  10. The name of the Finalists will be posted on the Challenge website by October 1, 2009.

Phase 2 – Pitching of short listed finalists

  1. Short listed finalists will be asked to pitch their ideas.
  2. All pitching will be reviewed by a panel of judges in order to select Finalists.
  3. Finalists will then developed the idea into Proof of Concept (PoC) in Phase 3.

Phase 3 – Development of Mobile Content

  1. Finalists will be enrolled for a 3-day training getaway during October 2009. Teams selected for this phase shall ensure that at least one (1) member of each team must attend this training getaway.
  2. Finalists will be given approximately 8 weeks to fully develop their proposed mobile content prototype (“Prototype”).
  3. Each team will be assigned an Industry Mentor to guide the development of their Prototype.
  4. All Finalists are required to present their fully developed Prototype to the panel of judges.
  5. At the presentations, Finalists are also required to submit developed content (executable, etc.), relevant documentation and the presentation slides of their Prototype in a CD to the panel of judges.
  6. Winners will be announced and given awards at a ceremony which will be held immediately after the presentation of the Finalists.
